Lisa Moore - Principal

Mrs. Moore became an assistant principal at NHS in 2011.  Prior to that she taught English at McPherson High School, taught English at Newton High School, was an Instructional Coach at NHS, and was the administrator of the NHS Alternative High School.  She graduated with her Bachelor's Degree in Secondary Education from KSU and her Master's Degree in School Leadership from Baker University.

Brian Becker - Assistant Principal/Athletic Director

Mr. Becker started as an Assistant Principal and Athletic Director at NHS in 2015.  Prior to that he was the Athletic Director at Wichita North High School.  He has also served as the Athletic Director for Hesston USD 460, was an Interim Professor of Business at Bethel College, and taught Business & Computers along with coaching at Valley Center High School.  He graduated with his Bachelor of Science Degree in Secondary Business Education from Kansas State University, and his Master of Arts in School Leadership from Baker University.  Brian serves as the administrator for students with last name A-G.

Greg Dietz - Assistant Principal

Mr. Dietz became an Assistant Principal at NHS in 2001. Prior to that he taught and coached at Garden City High School for nine years and then served two years as an Administrative Dean.  He graduated from the University of Wyoming with a BA History/Secondary Education and received his Master's Degree in School Leadership at Ft. Hays State.  Greg serves as the Assistant Principal for students with the last name P-Z.

Everardo Flores - Assistant Principal

Mr.Flores joined the USD 373 team for the 2018-19 school year as the assistant principal at Chisholm Middle School before moving to NHS. Before coming to USD 373, he was a teacher and administrator at Washington Elementary and Samuel E. Spaght Science and Communication Magnet. Before that Mr. Flores worked at Youthville here in Newton with older adolescent teens for the first 7 years of his career, ending his time there as campus supervisor. He is a longtime Newton resident, living in the city for over two decades. Mr. Flores attended Wichita State University and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education. He continued his education at Newman University and earned a Master of Science in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in ESOL and completed their building leadership program.

Blake Smith - Assistant Principal/Director of Career and Technical Education

Mr. Smith has spent the last nine years as a science teacher at Maize South High School. He also was a lecturer at Wichita State University where he taught second-year teachers who have transitioned into teaching. Before teaching, Mr. Smith was a meteorologist and worked at a number of stations across the country including KAKE TV in Wichita. He has a Master of Science in Educational Administration from Emporia State, a Master of Arts in Teaching from Wichita State and a Bachelor of Science in Atmospheric Science from University of Arizona.
