Lisa Moore - Principal

Mrs. Moore became an assistant principal at NHS in 2011.  Prior to that she taught English at McPherson High School, taught English at Newton High School, was an Instructional Coach at NHS, and was the administrator of the NHS Alternative High School.  She graduated with her Bachelor's Degree in Secondary Education from KSU and her Master's Degree in School Leadership from Baker University.

Brian Becker - Assistant Principal/Athletic Director

Mr. Becker started as an Assistant Principal and Athletic Director at NHS in 2015.  Prior to that he was the Athletic Director at Wichita North High School.  He has also served as the Athletic Director for Hesston USD 460, was an Interim Professor of Business at Bethel College, and taught Business & Computers along with coaching at Valley Center High School.  He graduated with his Bachelor of Science Degree in Secondary Business Education from Kansas State University, and his Master of Arts in School Leadership from Baker University.  Brian serves as the administrator for students with last name A-G.

Greg Dietz - Assistant Principal

Mr. Dietz became an Assistant Principal at NHS in 2001. Prior to that he taught and coached at Garden City High School for nine years and then served two years as an Administrative Dean.  He graduated from the University of Wyoming with a BA History/Secondary Education and received his Master's Degree in School Leadership at Ft. Hays State.  Greg serves as the Assistant Principal for students with the last name P-Z.

Jason Fawcett - Assistant Principal

Mr. Fawcett began as an Assistant Principal in the 2017-2018 school year.  Before coming to Newton, he was the Assistant Principal/Athletic Director of Andale High School for seven years.  He was also at Fowler High School for seven years where he served in various roles such as Social Science Teacher, Coach, Athletic Director, and finished as the JH/HS Principal.  Mr.  Fawcett began his teaching career at Hugoton, Kansas, where he taught Social Science and coached numerous sports.  He graduated from Northwestern Oklahoma State University with a Bachelors in Social Science and received his Masters Degree in Education Administration from Fort Hays State.

Melinda Rangel - Assistant Principal/Director of Career and Technical Education

Mrs. Rangel became the Director of Career and Technical Education in August 2014 and the administrator for the alternative and virtual programs in 2015. In addition to these responsibilities, Mrs. Rangel will serve as an assistant principal beginning in the 2016-17 school year. She was a business teacher for 16 years at Maize High School before coming to Newton where she taught in the business department for 6 years. Mrs. Rangel graduated with her Bachelor's Degree in Secondary Education from Emporia State University and her Master's Degree in School Leadership from Baker University.
