The Newton Athletic Booster Club is the official organization of Newton High and Middle School. It is a non-profit organization run by volunteers of high school and middle school parents. Our main function is to raise funds for high school and middle school athletics. We also promote school pride by selling clothing, and filling the bleachers with school colors. Our two largest sources of funds come from Booster Club memberships and selling advertising throughout the year. Booster Club Memberships are 100% profit, and advertising sales are approximately 90% profit, with 10% paying for the printing of the programs and posters. All money raised during the year goes to benefit ALL sports. In the past, the funds raised have gone to purchase uniforms, scoreboards, equipment, and numerous other expenditures. On average, we have raised and donated about $25,000 per year.

Dear Railer Families,

I’m thrilled with the school year we’re having and particularly what our yearbook staff is doing to permanently record it for us all. Please be aware that we are proudly partnering with our yearbook publisher, Jostens, over the next few weeks to keep you fully informed of important yearbook matters. In a world saturated by fleeting, digital sound bites, let’s all work together to put something permanent and meaningful in our kids’ hands.

Because our order deadline with the printing plant is quickly approaching, now is the time to ensure your student receives a copy of this year’s book, which will deliver prior to summer.

You can easily visit Jostens.com or use the web link you’ll be receiving in any of the upcoming reminders prior to Feb. 17. You can also bring a check to the school office if you’d prefer.

Please note: personalization of the book will no longer be available after Feb. 17, and once our order is placed with the printing plant, your student is not guaranteed a copy if you’ve not preordered one.

I am enjoying this year with your student, and I hope you’ll support our efforts to celebrate it by reserving your student’s yearbook before Feb. 17.

Please contact Robin Montano at robin.montano@usd373.org if you have any questions.

Sincerely,

Lisa Moore
